COVID JOURNAL - JAN 05 2022

Today is day 5 of the year 2022.

I woke up quite early today. At 5:30 in the morning, I came and sat near my work/dining table, firing up the computer to work on a client project. While working on the client project, I got a call from my person at 7:30. We spoke for about 2 hours, then I got freshened up and had a decent cup of black coffee made by Continental Coffee. I sat down to work with the energy I got from the caffeine that I had just had. Mom made idlis and sambar, which tasted better today than yesterday. There is this belief that the masala gets to the core the next day it is made. After having my idlis, I had my meds. A quick update about my health: The nose block is still persistent. As the cough comes and goes, so do the headaches and fever. But yeah, it's better than before.

So the day passed by, which wasn’t eventful. All I did was browse the internet for cameras and other stuff. Mom served rice, potato curry, and boiled eggs for lunch. Isn't it true that the boiled egg was bland to my taste buds?On my meds, I thought I would take a nap instead. I watched a movie, The Photographer of Mauthausen. A fabulous movie from the Hilter era. I would recommend it to all photo enthusiasts. One such movie that I would recommend watching is Minamata. Minamata is about William Eugene Smith. I can watch that movie on any given day.

As the sun was getting down to light up the other parts of the earth, I got the call from the person whom I was waiting for. That brought joy to me and made me feel like a kid in the candy shop. We speak about everything, irrespective of the topic. It might be about a pin or about a space shuttle. I don’t have a name for our relationship, and let me tell you, we have been in touch since 2011 and have never met. Isn’t that pure? Well, I can talk a lot and bore you people or make you envious, which I'd rather not do. I guess I might be meeting them for the first time in February. Now my mom called up and asked if I needed any snacks for the evening. It was 7:30ish and I said no. Then I got back to work, simultaneously being on call with my teammate and partner in my venture. Well, if you people don’t know about me, I'm a professional photographer and a passionate artist. Then comes dinner, roti with potato curry and curd on the side. Then came the meds and that was the end of January 5, 2022.

Peace out.
