COVID JOURNAL - JAN 05 2022

Today is day 5 of the year 2022. I woke up quite early today. At 5:30 in the morning, I came and sat near my work/dining table, firing up the computer to work on a client project. While working on the client project, I got a call from my person at 7:30. We spoke for about 2 hours, then I got freshened up and had a decent cup of black coffee made by Continental Coffee. I sat down to work with the energy I got from the caffeine that I had just had. Mom made idlis and sambar, which tasted better today than yesterday. There is this belief that the masala gets to the core the next day it is made. After having my idlis, I had my meds. A quick update about my health: The nose block is still persistent. As the cough comes and goes, so do the headaches and fever. But yeah, it's better than before.  So the day passed by, which wasn’t eventful. All I did was browse the internet for cameras and other stuff. Mom served rice, potato curry, and boiled eggs for lunch. Isn't it ...

COVID JOURNAL - JAN 04th 2022

Today is day 4 of the year 2022. I woke up around 6 in the morning with a slight headache. I didn't have the mood to get off the bed, so I lazed around on the bed. Then I received a call on my number from a very important person in my life. That call, which I expected to get daily, came after a very long time. The call brought calm and warmth to me. After that call, I got up and freshened up around 10 o’clock. Mom served me with idlis and sambar, which I couldn’t have in one go as I wasn’t having an appetite. The awaited test results came in and everything was normal, according to the reports.  But then my body began to heat up, and my headache reappeared. To keep myself occupied, I started working on a client project which was due for delivery. Which was later followed by checking out my dream camera, the Canon F1 fully mechanical film camera. That made me feel restless about not being able to shoot any pictures with my recently acquired Canon TLb Mechanical Film camera. I ho...

COVID JOURNAL - JAN 3rd 2022

3/1/2022 Today is day 3 of the year 2022. The usual thing got up at 9:30 in morning. Got freshened up but a not so usual thing happened. I had turmeric milk yaks instead of black coffee, all thanks to Corona. Mom made hot idlis with a side of peanut chutney to go with it and accompanied it with meds. Phew.  Later, I consulted the doctor on Practo who suggested me to have a few investigative tests done. Doesn’t that sound like a suspense drama investigative test. So I stepped out of my cocoon to head to a diagnostic centre near by to get the test done, but going out after two days was such a breather. So, after reaching the diagnostic centre, they provided me with a form, which I filled out and handed over to the receptionist. Aaah, wait, let me tell you, I was wearing a surgical mask and surgical gloves. Now let's get back to the receptionist. After taking the form from me, she gave it a glance and saw me as a monster. Well, that feeling was weird. I fel...

COVID JOURNAL - JAN 2nd 2022

2/1/2022 Today is day 2 of the year 2022.  I woke up around 9:30 in the morning, got freshened up, and called Mom on her phone to put me on some black coffee. Usually, my morning routine consists of watching some photography content on YouTube while sitting on the couch and placing the remote and coffee mug on the table mate. But this time it was different. There was no couch, no table mate, no TV. I had to get used to a dining chair and a work table with a 13-inch laptop screen. But there is a silver lining to it. I still have my coffee mug though. Later that morning, mom served me with one of my favourite breakfasts, ROTI and scrambled eggs. After devouring two whole rotis, now it's time for meds, which I hate the most but can’t help it out all thanks to the corona virus (not the beer). Now I have the biggest and weirdest task ahead of me: how to kill time. While thinking my eyelids closed shut when I opened them, the time was 2:00 in the afternoon. I thought it was th...

COVID JOURNAL - JAN 1st 2022

COVID JOURNAL                                                                                                                                        JAN 1st 2022 DAY - 01 Today is day 1 of 365 days in the year 2022. Happy New Year. I woke up with a blocked nose and acute pain in my shoulder. It was a cold winter morning, as usual. So, I had a cold morning to blame for my nose block and body pains. Got fresher up  I had my morning dose of black coffee and a typical South Indian breakfast of ghee dosa. Later, I took self-prescribed medicine DOLO 650, which kicked in and sent me to bed, ...
