COVID JOURNAL - JAN 2nd 2022
2/1/2022
Today is day 2 of the year 2022.
I woke up around 9:30 in the morning, got freshened up, and called Mom on her phone to put me on some black coffee. Usually, my morning routine consists of watching some photography content on YouTube while sitting on the couch and placing the remote and coffee mug on the table mate. But this time it was different. There was no couch, no table mate, no TV. I had to get used to a dining chair and a work table with a 13-inch laptop screen. But there is a silver lining to it. I still have my coffee mug though.
Later that morning, mom served me with one of my favourite breakfasts, ROTI and scrambled eggs. After devouring two whole rotis, now it's time for meds, which I hate the most but can’t help it out all thanks to the corona virus (not the beer). Now I have the biggest and weirdest task ahead of me: how to kill time. While thinking my eyelids closed shut when I opened them, the time was 2:00 in the afternoon. I thought it was the meds that won the war against me being awake.
As it was time for lunch, my mom called on my phone and said lunch would be ready in half an hour. It was my favourite chicken curry and rice. Now I'm wondering who she scored chicken for, since I'm in self-quarantine and she can't go out to get chicken. Then my mom said that my cousin had ordered chicken online from the Tender Cuts app. What weird times we live in. Doctors, meds, and meat are all just a click away via an application on our phones. So, I had lunch and sat on the balcony for a couple of hours, then came indoors and spent time on instagram. I did an Instagram Live Session, did recordings for a podcast, and wrote a COVID Journal blog as well.
Mom made me upma and chicken for dinner. I chucked it all out, took my meds, made a few calls to my people and called it a day. That was my 2nd of January 2022.
Peace out.
